T&Cs

By booking and attending a treatment session with Tanya Battiss Wellness Therapist, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These ensure a safe, professional, and respectful environment for both therapist and client.

1. Appointments & Bookings

All appointments must be booked in advance. Bookings can be made via phone, email, or through the online booking system. A confirmation will be sent once the booking is complete. When making the appointment, you agree to a consultation with me prior to the treatment and you will disclose any relevant medical or lifestyle information.

2. Cancellations & Rescheduling

A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment. As you are aware, the business is dependent on the number of clients I can see in the working hours. Therefore, if you are unable to make a previously arranged appointment, I request that you provide me with at least 24 hours’ notice. This will allow me the option to rebook the time slot with someone on the waiting list. In return, I will apply these high standards to myself. Should I feel unwell, unable to treat, or it is inadvisable for me to treat, I will explain the situation to you as soon as possible before your treatment. Less than 24 hours’ notice may result in a fair-use fee of 50% of the usual treatment cost. This fee will be required to be settled prior to any future bookings. Missed appointments without notice (“no shows”) will be charged in full.

3. Payment

Payment is due at the time of the session unless arranged otherwise in advance. All treatments must be paid for before leaving the premises. I reserve the right to use discretion regarding the application of any discounts. Accepted payment methods include cash or card payments. Prices are subject to change with reasonable notice.

4. Health & Medical Disclosure

Clients are required to complete a consultation form prior to their first session and inform the therapist of any health conditions, medications, allergies, or injuries. It is the client’s responsibility to update the therapist of any changes to their health. Treatments offered are complementary therapies and do not replace medical diagnosis or treatment. Clients are advised to consult their GP or healthcare provider for medical concerns. If you present with any condition or symptom which could be a contraindication, I reserve the right to postpone our treatment until medical advice is sought.

5. Therapist’s Right to Decline or Discontinue Treatment

I reserve the right to refuse or discontinue treatment if:

  • The client is under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  • There are contraindications that make treatment unsafe.
  • Inappropriate, abusive, or threatening behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes verbal abuse, physical aggression, or any behaviour of a sexual nature that is considered inappropriate or makes the therapist feel unsafe or uncomfortable. Such actions will result in immediate termination of the session, and the full fee will still be payable. In serious cases, the appropriate authorities may be informed.

6. Client Confidentiality

All personal and health information shared is treated in strict confidence and stored in accordance with GDPR. Information will not be shared without the client’s consent unless required by law.

7. Late Arrivals

If you arrive late, the session may be shortened accordingly to avoid disruption to other clients. Full payment is still required.

8. Professional Conduct

I am a trained and a insured professional and abide by the code of ethics of my professional body. Clients are expected to behave respectfully at all times.

9. As an AoR member:

  • I am bound by the AoR Code of Practice and Ethics.
  • I follow the AoR Good Practice Policy and hygiene guidance to ensure client safety.
  • I will always be adequately insured for medical malpractice/professional indemnity requirements.
  • I comply with the AoR Continuing Professional Development requirements which ensures the practice is kept up to date.
  • I am compliant with GDPR data protection, please see the separate Privacy Policy. Your information will remain confidential at all times.
  • As a professional and highly qualified reflexologist with AoR status, I will provide you with the appropriate bespoke treatment and support.

10. Liability

While every effort is made to ensure client safety, Tanya Battiss Wellness Therapist accepts no liability for any loss or injury suffered during treatment.

11. The use of Face Coverings

I chose to use discretion regarding the wearing of face coverings.

12. Special Treatment License

As a member of the AoR, working under their high standards, I am exempt from requiring a Special treatments licence.

13. Gift Certificates

I supply the option to buy gift certificates for treatments. These may be given as gifts. These treatments can be booked during normal working hours with no restrictions. Where an appointment is booked using a gift certificate and missed, the cancellation policy will apply. These vouchers are non refundable. These vouchers are required to be used within 3 months from date of purchase.

14. Loyalty Programme

I offer a loyalty programme as a thank you to returning clients. Clients will receive one loyalty stamp per paid 60 or 90-minute treatment. Loyalty stamps are non-transferable and can only be used by the named client. Stamps cannot be backdated or applied to missed appointments, cancelled sessions, or promotional/discounted treatments unless otherwise stated. The loyalty card must be presented at the time of the appointment to receive a stamp and to redeem a reward. The loyalty programme may be withdrawn or amended at any time at the discretion of the business, but any earned rewards will be honoured.

15. Severe Weather and Natural Disaster Policy

In the event of severe weather conditions (including but not limited to snow, flooding, high winds, or extreme temperatures), appointments may need to be rescheduled or cancelled at short notice for the safety of both client and therapist. You will be contacted as early as possible should changes be necessary. No cancellation fee will apply, and you will be offered the opportunity to rebook your session at the earliest convenience or if at all possible.

In the case of a natural disaster or emergency situation beyond my control (including but not limited to storms, power outages, fire, epidemics, or government-imposed restrictions), I reserve the right to cancel or postpone appointments. No cancellation charge will be made in these circumstances. Affected appointments will be rescheduled at the earliest convenience or if at all possible.

16. Promotions, Offers, Packages, and Discounts

All promotions, offers, packages, or discounts are subject to availability and may be amended or withdrawn at my discretion at any time, without prior notice. Availability is dependent on appointment slot availability and cannot be guaranteed. Offers cannot be combined unless explicitly stated and are non-transferable.

Your understanding during such exceptional situations is appreciated.
